New technology that uses sun, salt and glass to create energy

Concentrated solar power is the new type of technology that can provide power to 75,000 homes in Nevada 24 hours a day. The capacity of such system to save a big amount of energy that can last even after the sun has set, comes from a reservoir of potassium and sodium nitrate located in a tower that is heated up with solar beams coming from a set of glass panels.
This emerges as a promoting sustainable technology that can bring support to the existing green alternatives used to get energy. It has some environmental problems such as the one posed on birds, which can be burned and killed by the concentrated sunbeams.
Of course engineering should keep working on both the socio-economical and environmental aspects.
