Carbon dioxide removal by crystallization

Scientist from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory found a simple a reliable way of capturing carbon dioxide from ambient air.

This method seems to be better than the current methods since it requires lower energy during carbon dioxide removal and material (guanidine) recycle.

The method needs to be improved, so more information could be acquire and a deep understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in carbonate binding.

Great idea, let’s hope it will become a sustainable reality.
