Coca Cola said yes to a recycling and deposit return scheme

The biggest soft drinks producer and the Scotland government have made an agreement in the implementation of a deposit return scheme in order to increase the recycling rates.
With this system the consumer pays a certain amount of money that is after repaid when the bottle is returned to a retailer, so both consumers and environment receive a benefit, since people can save some money and waste pollution is reduced.

The company is also working on the amount of recyclable materials used in their bottles and they are open to explore new strategies that has the potential to increase recycle and reduce the amount of litter.
I agree with the desire of the Scottish government that this could be replicate by other companies, I also hope that initiatives like this may last long and that people also contribute to its achievement.
